Lettuce Harvest at 3 am

The Headline actually tells the story.

In the past, the work crews that were in the field waited until 6 am to turn up the LOUD Spanish Station music. I live right next to the lettuce field and appreciated that consideration.

But today, the work crew had Mexican music blasting out over the Salinas Valley and Salinas River. The main difference between "Spanish" and "Mexican" is that at 3 am you know darn well that there is NOBODY from Spain out there harvesting lettuce!

But if you know me, you might also know that I see life on many levels/planes all at the same time. So you might be able to understand that since I couldn't sleep anyway, I took a look out of the bedroom window & saw what to some people might look like aliens (from Outer Space, not Mexico) because it was somewhat foggy & there were bright spotlights and machines (where they were placing the wrapped-in the field-lettuce), and a bus towing a couple of porta-potties. I guess even "aliens" need porta-potties. Ron Howard could have been out there directing.
