Spinach Attacked by Newscasters

Cellphones, Gangs in Salinas, Traffic Accidents ... And now Spinach.

I'm feeling bad for Salinas Valley farmers, and at the same time, I'm not buying spinach. Maybe everything has to be cooked now, which is too bad nutritionally. What if we could run it through an ultra-violet machine or something & kill only the bad stuff?

Many changes in the past year. Big changes.

Time to take a deep breath and prepare for next year.

When did September 1 get to be New Year's Day? Maybe when the Kids grew up and took over the Holidays. Even when young, the new school year felt more like a beginning than the winter break where January resides.
