Singin' in the Rain

In California, this First Rain of the season is an Event. We've actually had very small showers that leave the sidewalk wet in the morning--But no real extended rain.

Phoebe cried, quit her so-called "job" of making us into a condo complex--then continued her political campaign later in the day via emails.

Yeti in the North Country

Our pretty little Himalayan cat named Yeti has moved to Washington. We miss him already. Diane took him by plane 2 days ago. Unfortunately, no photo of him.

Raj & Tomale Go To Washington

Matthew & Diane have a new home in Washington. Diane couldn't catch Yeti last Thursday, but she was able to take Raj & Tomale by air to their new home.

Mel just called with the latest news. She said Diane had called & Matt had taken the 2 cats for a walk on leashes. Would I love to have a photo of that.

So Diane is flying back in tonight & will take Yeti back to Washington in a couple of days.

Cauliflower Harvest Days

Several days this week, Mexican workers were in the field harvesting cauliflower. Meanwhile, here I sit thinking nothing much is happening in my neighborhood !

And because Junior gave us permission to take what we want, we've even been eating delicious steamed cauliflower every night. Well, it finally helped my brain enough to realize it should be part of this story.
